Leadership in Organizations (SoSe)
This course serves to introduce students to different historic and contemporary perspectives on leadership. Students will acquire a comprehensive understanding of leadership theories (e.g., trait, skills, style, and situational approaches) and study findings on the effectiveness of these approaches and discuss contemporary leadership challenges and developments in organizations (e.g., culture and leadership, women and ethnic minorities in leadership positions, ethical leadership, team leadership). In addition, students will have the opportunity to experience their own leadership behavior in order to help them prepare for taking on leadership roles in organizations.
